Having
read up on many types of facial workouts for some
time, I came to the decision that the cleo workout,
was the one for me. So having longed for one of
these machines for many years, as the price scared
me a bit, I decided to treat myself to an early
birthday present. So I ordered my very own machine.
The item came the very next day, recorded delivery,
I excitedly took the box inside, the package came,
in a ordinary box, with just my name and address
on the front. I opened the box, inside was the
machine which was neat in size, two pair of leads,
one for each side with four connecting heads,
battery, which lasted ages, there were two packets
of pads both containing eight in each. This also
came with a moisturising cream, a cleanser, facial
scrub, and instruction manual with pictures. There
was a helpline together with the research and
history behind this product. I found the science
behind this product fascinating, and when you
add up the science, this explains why, this facial
workout, is different to any other. A little unsure
at first, how this could work, but can honestly
say that after a few sessions my skin felt great.
Having dry skin normally, my skin felt nourished,
without any creams as this product brings oxygen
to the skin and circulation.
The programme is over a three month period and
the first is to concentrate on the eyes. After
a month you are advised to increase the strength,
and I can honestly say that I have noticed a difference,
eyes appear more alert and less tired. I cant
wait to go onto the next programme and whats great
about this product, is you can get on with everyday
things as it straps to your pocket. Well worth
the money. Amazing!!

I
bought my Cleo II almost a year ago after seeing
an advertisement in the sunday paper. It was however
a long considered decision for me as I really
wasn't sure. I took my time about it and asked
lots of questions. The Club-cleo website is packed
with information and is very attractive to look
at but more importantly the customer service staff
there are just at the end of a phone line and
were very patient in answering the huge amount
of questions I fired at them! I was directed to
a consultant on more than one occasion who was
able to explain the science behind the product
as well as provide a personal view of using the
Unit (she had herself used Cleo for 12 years she
explained) When I felt the time was right for
me I took the plunge.
The Face system I chose was and still is £352.50.
This is obviously an investment, I was offered
0% finance and being a savvy kind of girl who
likes to save money where she can, I decided to
go for this rather than spend months paying the
interest on my credit card. The finance process
itself was very easy to undertake, I was asked
some questions, accepted, signed documents and
a week later got my delivery. I found it a very
transparant operation. My finance was over 9 months
so I paid about £40 a month. Not too hard
to bear.
The morning my Cleo was delivered I took a deep
breath and unpacked the box, you are supplied
with the control unit, treatment chip (this tells
the unit which programme to run) lots of packs
of adhesive pads, leads, cleanser, moisturiser
exfoliator and an instruction manual. Taking time
to look through the manual it's really easy to
read and has photo's of where to place pads for
ease of use. Basically you clip 8 pads to your
leads and place on the face where the dots on
the photo's tell you to. So, imagine me like a
kid on Christmas day, I had all the pads on my
face, the leads plugged into the base unit and
was all ready to go. I was a little afraid of
how it would feel, the words elecrical impulse
and the thought of this happening in your face
is a bit wierd and looking at myself in the mirror
I felt a bit like a robot! But I wasn't prepared
for how nice it feels. It's very relaxing, this
is apparently because the signal also releases
seretonin. it starts a little like someone tapping
on your cheeks just near the ears, but the pulse
sort of changes throughout the 20 mins, it's very
hard to explain; it's extremeley pleasant though.
I've always believed- no pain no gain- but it's
completely under your contol, you set the level
of the pulse to whats good for you meaning that
it's never uncomfortable.
After using Cleo for a week my skin was just glowing,
I had compliments from colleagues at work and
that just nailed it for me! I got a pinky youthful
glow, and my complexion which was still a bit
on the teenage side dramatically improved. About
two months in I could actually feel my muscles
tightening across my cheeks. It has just got better
and better since then. After the first four months
of using every day for 20 mins I was able to switch
to a maintaining programme, so I now use it just
3 times a week. I have never regretted buying
Cleo since Istarted using it and I feel that this
is because I made a considered, supported purchase
and have had the results I wanted.
You have to buy replacement pads every so often,
I have quite oily skin so I probably use more
than someone with dry skin (oil on the pads reduces
"Stick") When I buy more they are £35,
I have only bough two sets in my year of owning
Cleo though. I have to say that I prefer to use
my own cleanser and moisturiser, I felt that the
one's originally provided were ok but expensive
to replace. The moisturiser is £9 and I
can buy a nice named one for that!!
I just turned 34 a couple of weeks ago and I feel
great. I think that knowing I look good has given
me that extra confidence I always lacked in my
20's. My hubby calls it my sparkle!!
I do have to admit that I have kept my Cleo a
secret from everyone bar my husband ( took a while
mind before he saw me with my "zapping kit"
on) I like the compliments I get from friends
and family and want to keep it to myself. I do
feel though that by coming here I can give the
company the credit they deserve without my best
friend jumping in on the act!
What really swung it for me was the company's
friendly upbeat attitude. I never felt pressurissed
and they never tried to pretend that this wasn't
an expensive piece of kit. But when I added up
what I was spending at the salon and on creams
and gels I have to say that my Cleo has paid for
itself three time over.
All I can say is do your research, make up your
own mind, you are positively encouraged to do
this!

I
purchased my cleo facial muscle stimulator 2 years
ago. I had read up about it in magazines and was
impressed by this small machine. I decided to
go ahead and buy it and I can honestly say I have
never regretted it. From the very first time I
used it I noticed my face looked fresh and alive.
After only a couple of weeks I really noticed
a difference. My skin texture is so much smoother
now and yes any lines that were there have gradually
faded away. The pads I find are quick to put on
once you get used to them but you really do need
to cleanse your face of any make-up or moisturiser
properly or you will find the pads will not stick
as they should do. Once you get into a routine
it's really simple. I now use the machine about
three times a week either in the morning or at
night. I wouldn't be without it now. My face is
so much firmer now. Infact my Husband was so impressd
at the results that he now uses it too. So anyone
out there thinking about purchasing the Cleo my
advice is Buy one it does work.

step before the knife

In
my 39th year I had to face the horrific realisation
that my face was sliding off. My eyes were developing
hoods and my jowels were rivalling that of next
door's bloodhound.
A frantic research period followed, where I considered
going to the lengths of following a regime of
healthy diet and exercise.
Luckily, I was stopped in my tracks. An advertisement
directed me to the lazy woman's facial exerciser
- The Cleo II.
The blurb explains that the Cleo II is unique
amongst electronic exercise machines because its
special computer programme mimics the brain's
natural nerve signals and manages to reach and
stimulate muscles that ordinary physical exercise
and other machines can't reach. The Heineken of
exercise machines, then. The technical name for
the technique is Trophic Neuromuscular Stimulation,
so there!
The unit is not cheap, at around £300, but
there is a finance plan available, allowing payment
by ten monthly installments. For this, I got my
Cleo base unit, face module, buttock module, abdomen
module, cellulite module and breast module - as
a result of a special offer at the time. This
op concerns the facial module.
The unit arrived quickly, before I could change
my mind about shelling out for something so ridiculous.
The base unit is white, smaller than a bum-bag,
with a similar webbed belt, to allow you to strap
it to your waist and wander about while using
the stimulator. It houses a 9v battery and has
slide controls for the strength of signal you
require, three levels for the settings needed
for different regimes and holes at the top to
plug the leads into. WARNING - IT IS VERY EASY
TO MOVE THE CONTROLS BY ACCIDENT WHEN USING THE
UNIT - AND TAKE IT FROM ME, IT HURTS!
It is completely maintenance free and guaranteed
for one year, after which Cleo sent me an optional
extended guarantee. I can't remember the cost
of this as I didn't take it up, having had bad
experiences of these policies in the past.
A rectangular square containing the unit programme
has to be inserted into a space on the base unit.
These are easily identified so your not likely
to exercise your facial muscles with your bum
programme.
So,
Step 1
Insert programme into base unit.
Step 2
Insert facial leads, (easily identified - they
are grey and have stud fastenings on the end)
into holes at top of units.
Step 3
Cleanse face with pre-treatment cleanser. This
is a clear, water based cleanser which is very
effective at removing impurities and grease from
your skin.
Step 4
Place small round pads on strategic points on
face. These are illustrated by photos in the manual
and you can't go wrong.
Step 5
Attatch studs to pads by pressing.
Step 6
Select programme level and press start button.
ALWAYS MAKE SURE YOUR SLIDE CONTROLS ARE AT ZERO.
THE UNIT WILL NOT START OTHERWISE.
Step 7
Slide controls upwards for each lead until a twitching
sensation is felt.
Step 8
Enjoy twitchy face until unit beeps to signal
end of treatment. Entertain the kids with this
if you wish.
I have to say that I could see a difference after
the very first session. The comprehensive instruction
booklet explains how best to build a regime and
is very strict about starting off slowly.
The condition of my skin got slightly worse before
it improved, due to the flushing out of toxins.
The increased muscle activity encourages blood
flow (and therefor nutrition) to the skin and
after the first spotty stage, my skin began to
glow more than it had done since I was in my early
twenties.
The sensation is not painful, though it takes
a bit of getting used to. I actually find it quite
relaxing.
The really amazing part is that it does lift your
face! After some weeks of use, I could see where
my blusher should go, lines between my brows had
lessened dramatically, my eyes had opened up more
and my jowels almost disappeared. I couldn't believe
the difference. Some small thread veins that had
previously annoyed me vanished. So many people
commented on how well I was looking that I knew
I wasn't imagining it.
A couple of years on and I still use the Cleo,
though not as religiously as before. It is time
consuming and can be fiddly when the pads are
losing their adhesive quality. The pads need replacing
every few weeks and though a large pack will keep
you going for some four months, they are expensive
at around £30 per pack. There are no cutting
corners with the cleanser either, as the least
bit of grease on the skin will shorten the life
of the pads. This will set you back another fiver,
as will the moisturiser for after use. I find
this so good that I use it all the time, so I
don't mind buying it. There is also a face scrub
which is a bit too gentle for my skin, so I don't
use it these days, preferring something more akin
to sandpaper. In two years, I've had to replace
the facial leads once, the price of which were
around £7.
I find that the results continue to get better
and better. If I was more committed I'd probably
look about twelve by now! As it is, I leave it
for a month or so then go back to it when the
telltale droop reappears. It seems that the first
treatment after a break gives me terrific results,
as though I'm waking up my muscles' memories.
I can wholeheartedly recommend the Cleo II to
anyone who wants to hang on to youth just a little
longer, without turning to surgery.
Just a word of warning - seek medical advice before
using the Cleo II if you are in one of the following
groups - people with pacemakers, who are pregnant,
who suffer from a muscle disorder, who have enlarged
moles or have suffered from Bells Palsy.
